Beyond Words: New York City

I love the writing process and creating the perfect flow to my stories. But sometimes words get in the way; they hinder rather than help. The otherworldly vibrancy of an unrestrained forest, the genuine sweetness of a friend’s smile, or the sheer magnificence of an ancient temple cannot be captured in letters. My best friend, Sami, is completing his medical school clinicals in Staten Island. I visited for a week in which Sami did not have to work, and we had a fantastic time! Food, drinks, Sami’s first Broadway show, meeting and hanging out with his friends, food, drinks, football, Smorgasburg, relaxing, the Staten Island Ferry, drinks on the 102nd floor of the Freedom Tower, Loopy Doopy, food, and drinks. But the best part was hanging out with Sami! He has worked so hard in pursuing his dream and creating a life for himself. I enjoyed just seeing him happy and thriving. Good work, Boi!
