Beyond Words: Seoul, Korea

January 05, 2016 by Laura-Elizabeth Koshy

I love the writing process and creating the perfect flow to my stories. But sometimes words get in the way; they hinder rather than help. The otherworldly vibrancy of an unrestrained forest, the genuine sweetness of a friend’s smile, or the sheer magnificence of an ancient temple cannot be captured in letters. These moments are Beyond Words. I attempt to share such experiences in photos and videos. Enjoy!

Here are some snippets of my time in Seoul, Korea. I stayed here for about a week and a half, and most of my time was spent recovering from jet jag, writing, updating my blog, and marking things off my "to-do" list (such as pausing car insurance and shutting of my cellphone). Also, traveling around Korea was expensive for my backpacker budget. So I ended up spending time in my hostel and at coffee shops. I did venture out a bit, ate some tasty meals, and met up with a friend from home who happened to have a work conference in Seoul.

Eventually, I will visit again (and probably include Japan in my route). I very much enjoyed my time in Korea and cannot wait to explore more in the future!
